Bulgarian passports are valid for five years. You can easily renew your passport upon its expiry. There is no minimum amount of residency required.

The laws of Bulgaria recognize and allow dual citizenship and you are not required to renounce your other citizenships. You are not required to reside in Bulgaria to keep your citizenship status.

ELIGIBILITY

The applicant must invest €1,024,000 in Bulgarian government bonds for 5 years to obtain 
residence and fast-track citizenship. A financing package is available for a “walk-away” payment of €260,000, and is non-recourse to the applicant.
The Government processing time for due diligence and permanent residence (PR) is 3-4 months.

Fast-track applicants can apply for citizenship after holding PR status for one year, and will receive citizenship within 4-6 months (about 18 months total processing time for citizenship).

There are no restrictions on nationalities (all foreign nationalities may apply)

Citizenship is transferable by descent, so is transferred to all children and grandchildren 
regardless of age, marital status, or family size (including adopted children).
